We are privileged to have created brand identities and websites for high profile visionaries and tastemakers from the worlds of fashion, retail, architecture, finance, automotive and global humanitarian leadership, including Diana Ross, Belma Gaudio, Mikimoto, David Downton, Rose Villa Saigon, Kirstie Allsopp and our inspiration, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, also known as ‘Amma’.
Celebrated fine jeweller Mikimoto, specialises in the best pearls in the world, only accepting the top five percent of a harvest. Oro&Co were asked to design and produce an invitation to celebrate the grand re-opening of their flagship Bond Street boutique. The limited edition VIP invitation would be as refined and precious as the jewels themselves. We took our signature approach, seeking the inherent answers in a deep dive into the architect’s plans. This ensured the design would be grounded in authenticity and reflect Mikimoto and their elite clientele.
We mirrored the boutique’s classical proportions in an oversize square format, gilding the edges in reference to the distinctive brass accents in the interiors. Delicately die-cut scalloped edges decorated the gossamer overlay and envelope like a pearl necklace. The magic materialised when three harmonious premium Japanese papers created a visual feast of understated layers.A truly stunning piece of print, the foiling is still perfect at 800%. Congrats to the fabulous Mikimoto, Verdun PR and Boss Print (RIP). If we could revisit one opening party, it’s this.
